Burj Khalifa – Worlds tallest building

Burj Khalifa is a the tallest building in the world. The height of the building is 829.8 meters. It is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Initially it was named as ‘Burj Dubai’. Later it was renamed to ‘Burj Khalifa’ to honor “Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan”, the ruler of Abu Dhabi and president of the United Arab Emirates who helped Dubai in their various financial situations.
The construction of this building began on 6th January 2004 and ended on 1st October 2009. It was officially opened on 4th January 2010.
The chief architect of this project is “Adrian Smith”. He is one who architected ‘Trump Tower’ in chicago, ‘Jin Mao’ tower in china. He is the one who currently working as chief architect in Saudi Arabia’s new project ‘Jeddah Tower’ which will become world’s tallest building upon its completion.
Burj Khalifa contains 30,000 houses inside. Nine hotels were operating from this tower. The bottom of the building is a shopping mall known as ‘Dubai Mall’. The complex also has a man made Lake. 7.5 acres of parking land available within this building.
