Airbus A380 – World’s largest airliner with double-decks

Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world, manufactured by Airbus Industrie, an European consortium at different locations in Europe. It is 40% larger than next largest airliner Boeing 747-8.

It is full length double–deck airplane with a capacity of 525 passengers in three class configurations and it can accommodate more than 800 passengers in single economy class configuration.

It is four engined airplane with a length of 72 m and width of 80 m. It can travel a distance of 15,700 km without refueling. Most of the world’s airports where it operates have been upgraded to accommodate this monstrous airplane. Each Airbus A380 will cost US $430 million.
